Myself and a friend indulged in the cake tasting platter for two. It cost R60 and you receive 4 half-slices of cake. They choose two and you choose the other two. The Velvet Cake Co treated us to the Coco Chanel and lemon cake. Coco Chanel is a moist rich dark chocolate cake. Even non-chocolate lovers won't be able to say no to this. The lemon cake has the right sweet and sour combination and its as moist as all the cake from The Velvet Cake Co.
The two cakes we chose were the popular red velvet cake frosted with cream cheese and covered with meringue and a strawberry/raspberry cake garnished with a chocolate mousse icing.
There are loads more to choose from such as spicy carrot cake, lemon meringue and chocolate tart. Light lunches such as pita's and salads are also on offer. Below you will see delicious pictures of some of their creations.

ReplyDeleteDit is ne! Ek was vanoggend weer by die bakery gedeelte om red velvet cupcakes te koop! Het toe hulle "cake-pops" ook probeer en dit was heerlik! Red velvet natuurlik :)
